Navratri Pujan's Rules (नवरात्री में पूजा के कुछ नियम)

Here we are explaining how to worship and on what days in Navratris. Each day of Navratra (literally meaning 9 nights) has its own special significance because each day is worshipped for different forms of Goddess Durga. Janmejaya asks Vyasji in the 30th Skand of Devi Bhagwat, "Navratras have immense significance and it gives people their desired wishes. I have heard that keeping fasts, worshipping the Goddess is very meritorious. Lord Ved Vyasji please tell me about Shardiya Navratra" Everybody listen attentively what Vyasji has said about Shardiya Navratrai. Before the death of Ravan and other Navratri come before the birth of Ram. Navratras happen every 6 months This autumn season is very harshit is called mother of all diseases same is the case with spring (at the time of Holi) If one doesn't keep fast these days then there is a possibility of becoming ill now or later. If observes Navratra, worships the Mother Goddess then by the merit of worship, wishes are fulfilled and due to fast toxins are removed from the body Fast and rest destroys diseases.

If one cannot keep fast on all 9 days then one must observe it on 7th , 8th and 9th day. Janmejaya asked Vyas ji Idol of Goddess must be established in a pandal 13.5 feet long and 10.5 feet wide. These dimensions are also good according to Vastu Shastra.

Vyas ji said and Janmejaya listen how to worship Kunwari Kanyas (small girls who have not started menstruating) and since 1-year-old baby girls are not aware thus worship 2-year-old baby girls on first day as Goddess. She should not be suffering from skin disease and her paternity must not be doubtful. She must be born out of established wedlock according to Dharma. Such girls must be considered as Goddess and worshipped. Her worship removes sorrow and penury.

The 2-year-old baby girl is called Kumari. On the second day worship, 3-year-old girl she is called Trimurti/ Trivarga Worship her for benefits and fulfillment of Dharma, Wealth and Desires. 4-year-old girl is called Kalyani, Those desiring knowledge,  victory, kingdom and bliss must worship her on 3rd day Rohini, 5-year-old girl must be worshipped on day 4 worship her if desiring health with the mantra –“Ya devi sarva bhooteshu Arogya rupen santhitaha namastasye namastasye namastayse namo namah” If you desire removal of penury then replace mantra with and “sampatti rupen sansthitah” On the 5th day worship 6-year-old girl as a form of Kalika for those desiring enemy suppression and victory over enemies, should especially worship her on 6th day. worship 7-year-old girl as Chandika for those desiring opulence and wealth On the 7th day. Worship an 8-year-old girl, called as Shambhavi For attracting someone, removing sorrow and penury for attacking the enemies. Kings worship her for getting empires On the 8th day, worship Durga 9-year-old girl is called Durga, for accomplishing difficult tasks, for annihilation of enemies remember and worship her. 10-year-old girl is worshipped on the 9th day, she is called Subhadra For wish fulfillment, for increasing resolve power fame in this and other worlds. Fast in the days of Navratra repairs our damaged body and destroys diseases and disease-causing toxins too are destroyed, mind becomes happy. Worshipping Durga makes difficult tasks easy. If you cannot keep fast on all 9 days keep it for 6, 5 or even 3 days. Vyas ji said if one strictly follows it then merits of keeping fast for 9 days can be achieved in 3 days only 7th, 8th and 9th and on these 3 days one should remember and worship Chandi, Shambhavi, Durga and other Goddesses.

Why is Lord Rama Worshipped after Navratri:-

Hindus have Two Navratri, first comes Chaitra Navratri and second Shardiya Navratri. In Chaitra Navratri 9th day is Ramnavmi and Navratri is ended whereas in Shardiya Navratri Dusshera is there and on the festival of Vijay Dashami (Dusshera) people celebrate the victory of Rama and end Navratri. You ever thought that why both of these Navratri festivals are ended worshipping Shri Rama? While Navratri is a festival of worshiping goddess Durga then why Rama?
Today we will discuss the mystery behind this? Twice in a year Navratri festival is celebrated in which Hindus gather their energy and positivity by fasting and worshiping and gather (collect) strength after thinking, Hindu Rishis (monks) in order to develop the Human body scientifically to increase the abilities of the body they initiated Navratri festival and this festival ended by worshiping lord Rama Why? Because Hindu rishis (monks) along with worshiping Shakti (Durga) they wanted to bring forward Shakti’s (Power) ambassador Shri Ram they wanted to teach the society that if you want to live this life, then live it like Shri Rama who never left his Decorum (limit) though he had immense power if you’d live a life on his footprints then, just like Rama ever your body’s development limits will reach to their extreme. Now the question arises, that why Shri Rama? Because Rama is an ideal son (child) he is an ideal Husband an ideal warrior and can risk his life to save his dignity/decorum (Maryada) the time when Shri Ram lived, no one used to follow a single wife trend but Shri Rama even followed that He is elder most for his brothers. A son to his father and an ideal husband for his wife. This is Lord Rama’s collection of strength this is why rishis ended Navratri festival by worshiping Shri Rama.
